What this site collects, and what it does not.

What is collected

The contact form at /contact collects four things, all of them typed by you:

• Your name
• Your email address
• The interest selection you choose from the dropdown
• The free-text message you write

That data is used for one purpose: to read your inquiry and reply to it. There is no automated marketing sequence, no CRM sync, and no list you are added to. I read the note and answer it myself.

Reaching any web server also produces request metadata, such as your IP address and browser user agent. That is a property of how the web works rather than something this site asks for. It is handled by the host described below.

What is not collected

Stating the absences plainly, because most privacy policies describe systems the site does not run:

• No analytics platform
• No advertising or behavioral trackers
• No CRM sync or automated marketing sequence
• No accounts, logins, or profiles
• No comments, uploads, or user-submitted media

The site does not intentionally set cookies. If you see one, it did not come from a tracking system I have added.

Who processes it

Three services handle a contact submission between your browser and my inbox. Each is a separate company with its own privacy policy.

VercelHosting

Hosts the site and processes the contact request along with the request metadata that reaching a server requires, such as IP address and user agent.

ResendEmail delivery

Processes and delivers the contact email. Your submission passes through Resend on its way to the destination mailbox.

Apple iCloudDestination mailbox

Receives and stores the delivered message in the mailbox where it is read and answered.

These providers operate in the United States. If you are writing from outside the US, your submission is transferred there.

How long it is kept

Contact submissions and related correspondence are retained for up to 24 months after the last substantive interaction. They may be retained longer when needed for an active business relationship, a contract, a legal obligation, or the establishment or defense of legal claims. Spam and irrelevant submissions may be deleted sooner.

Your rights

You can ask what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to a copy of it, to restrict or object to its use, or to complain to a data protection authority.

Email me@scott-collier.com and say what you want done. Deleting a submission means deleting the message and any reply thread, which ends the conversation. Say so explicitly if that is what you want.

Changes

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date above moves. It describes the current implementation, not an aspiration.
